How to sign HIPAA authorizations.

Modified on Fri, 6 Sep at 3:32 PM

HealthLock safeguards against medical fraud and privacy breaches, streamlines insurance claims management, and empowers members to challenge inaccuracies and excessive charges. In our operations, we receive Personal Health Information (PHI) from various sources, including healthcare providers, insurers, and other entities subject to HIPAA regulations. Many of these entities require patients/members to authorize access to their medical information by signing HIPAA authorizations.

To sign HIPAA authorizations, follow these steps in your HealthLock portal:

  1. Upon logging in, a popup may prompt you to sign the authorizations immediately denoted as SIGN NOW.

  2. Navigate to the "Account" tab, then select "Members." On the right side, click "SIGN AUTHORIZATIONS" to begin the process.

  3. Alternatively, click the link labeled "Click to Sign here" in the top red banner.

  4. Ensure the accuracy of names and dates of birth before signing.

Once signed, HIPAA authorizations will be sent to your providers and insurance companies.
