How to verify two-step authentication is turned on for your Cigna account.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to guide members in enabling Two-Step Verification on their Cigna Healthcare account. This security setting is required in order to connect your insurance account to HealthLock. During the connection process, Cigna will generate a one-time verification code that you will need to provide to HealthLock to complete the setup successfully. 


Steps to Verify Two-Step Verification is Turned ON


1. Go to my.cigna.com and log in to your Cigna account.

2. In the top navigation, click your name, then click 'Profile'.

3. Scroll down to 'Contacts & Communications' and verify your email address and phone number are correct. If they are not, follow the steps to update them.

4. Continue scrolling down to 'Two-Step Authentication'. Confirm it is turned on. If it is not, follow the steps to do so.

5. Save your new security settings. The next time you log in, you will be prompted to enter the code sent to your email or phone. 


You can now return to your HealthLock member portal and continue the connection process and enter the Cigna code when prompted.

Tips & Support 

  • If you have trouble setting up security settings, call the Cigna member services number on your ID card for assistance. 
  • For security, log out after each session.
  • If you still need help, call the number in the Contact Us section at the bottom of the webpage:
