How to recover your Anthem username or password.

Purpose

This article provides step-by-step instructions for Anthem members to recover or reset their Anthem online account username and password if they forget or misplace them.  

1. Go to anthem.com/account-login and select your account type.

2. Click Forgot Username or Password?

3. Provide the following details exactly as they appear on your Anthem member ID card:

• Member ID number (from your Anthem ID card)
  
• First name
• Last name
• Date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

4. Follow the on-screen prompts to reset your username or password.

Tips & Support

• If you no longer have access to the email or phone number linked to your account, contact Anthem Member Services using the number on your ID card for further assistance. You can also select the Contact us option at the bottom of the Anthem homepage.
• For security, do not reuse old passwords and always log out after using your account.
• Consider storing your new credentials in a secure password manager.
