Purpose
This article provides step-by-step instructions for Blue Shield of California members to recover or reset their BS of CA online account username or password if they forget or misplace them.
1. Go to blueshieldca.com and click the 'Log In/Register' in the upper right corner of the page.
2. Click Forgot username link or the Forgot password link.
3. To recover the Username, click Forgot username, enter your First name, Last name, Email address, and check the box I'm not a robot, then select the Retrieve username button.
4. To recover the Password, click Forgot password, enter your Username and check the box I'm not a robot, then select the Continue button.
5. Follow the onscreen prompts to recover Username or Password (which ever one applies).
Tips & Support
- If you no longer have access to the email or phone number linked to your account, contact Blue Shield of California Member Services using the number on your ID card for further assistance. You can also select the Contact us option at the bottom of the Blue Shield of California homepage.
- For security, do not reuse old passwords and always log out after using your account.
- Consider storing your new credentials in a secure password manager.
