How to create an online account with UnitedHealthcare (UHC).

Purpose

This article provides step-by-step instructions for UnitedHealthcare (UHC) members to create a secure UnitedHealthcare online account. With an online account, UHC members can access plan information, view claims, manage benefits, and find in-network providers.

Steps to Create an Online Account
 

1. Go to the UnitedHealthcare Website

1. Open your internet browser and visit www.myuhc.com.
    

2. Click “Register Now”

1. On the homepage, select the “Register Now” button to begin the registration process.
    

3. Enter Personal Information

1. Provide the following details exactly as they appear on your UHC member ID card:
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Date of Birth
   • Member ID number (from your UHC ID card) 

4. Verify Your Identity

1. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your identity. This may include answering security questions or receiving a verification code via email or text.
   
   

5. Create Your Username and Password

1. Choose a unique username and a strong password.
2. Be sure to follow UHC’s password requirements (e.g., length, special characters, etc.).
3. Store your login credentials in a secure place.
    

6. Set Up Security Questions

1. Select and answer security questions that will help verify your identity in case you forget your password.
    

7. Review and Accept Terms 

• Carefully read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
• Click “I Agree” to proceed.
  

8. Complete Registration

1. Once all required fields are completed, select “Submit” or “Create My Account.”
2. You will receive a confirmation message once your account is created.
   
   

After Registration 

• You can now sign in at www.myuhc.com using your new username and password.
• Through your account, you can:
  • View benefits and coverage details
  • Check claim status
  • Download digital ID cards
  • Find in-network doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies
  • Manage dependents on your plan
