How to create an online account with Anthem.

Purpose

This article provides step-by-step instructions for Anthem members to create a secure Anthem online account. With an online account, Anthem members can access plan information, view claims, manage benefits, and find in-network providers.

Steps to Create an Online Account

To create an online account with Anthem:

1.  Go to https://login.anthem.com/.

2.  Click the Register now link.

3. Select from Member ID, Student ID, or Employee ID.

4.  Upload a copy of your member ID card for simple, accurate, and secure registration. Or, manually enter your member ID information including Member ID, First name, Last name, and Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), then select Next.

5.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration. 

IMPORTANT: Anthem requires all members to use two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging in to their online accounts. 

Here’s how Anthem’s login process works:

1. Enter your username and password on the Anthem website.

2. If you’re using a new or unrecognized device, Anthem will ask you to verify your identity.

3. Choose to receive a one-time security code via text or email.

4. Enter the code to complete your login.
