How will I get money back from my insurance carrier?

Modified on Mon, 10 Nov at 10:04 AM

In most cases, how you receive money back depends on whether your provider is in-network or out-of-network:

  • In-Network Visits:
The provider is paid directly by your insurance carrier, so you typically won’t receive reimbursement yourself.

  • Out-of-Network Visits:
The member (you) usually receives reimbursement directly from the insurance carrier after the claim is processed and approved.

Regardless of your network status, HealthLock’s auditors actively review, investigate, and negotiate your bills with both providers and carriers to help ensure you receive the full amount you’re entitled to—and are never overcharged.
