Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are pre-tax accounts designed to help cover qualified healthcare-related expenses. The IRS determines which expenses are eligible for payment or reimbursement through these accounts. In general, qualified expenses include:
FSA-eligible expenses:
Medical bills
Co-pays
Prescription medications
Over-the-counter medicines (with a doctor’s prescription)
Medical equipment, supplies, and diagnostic devices
HSA-eligible expenses:
Qualified healthcare expenses
Dental and vision expenses (if paired with a Limited Purpose FSA)
At this time, HealthLock’s medical billing audit services and privacy protections are not eligible for payment or reimbursement through FSA or HSA accounts.
However, some employer groups partner with HealthLock to offer our services as part of their employee benefit packages.
